A gentlemen's tailoring project to produce a jacket with innovative detailing and expand upon our garment manufacturing skills in year two of the Fashion Design course.
My garment manufacturing skills came on a long way between 1st and 2nd year in Fashion Design.
Although producing a tailored jacket was difficult, and I ran into a lot of difficulties, I was able to overcome these issues through discipline and perseverance. And in the end I was very happy with the results, and it was amazing to see my creation come to life after all the hard work.
By the end of the second year in Fashion Design, I felt that I had gained the knowledge and experience to understand how garments are put together, the skill required to do so, and the creativity involved as well. These skills will all translate well into a professional environment.
